4 and 5 Year Olds – 4 Day Program

9 am – 12 pm Monday thru Thursday
12:30 pm – 3 pm Monday thru Thursday

Our four year old program offers free play as well as a variety of structured activities such as circle time, show and tell, craft, music, story time, chapel, gym time and outside play.  Fine motor skills will be fine tuned such as coloring, drawing shapes, cutting with scissors, threading beads, proper pencil grip, zipper and buttoning practice.  In addition students learn kindergarten readiness skills such as letter recognition upper/lower case, beginning sounds, name writing first/last name,  pre-reading skills, sight words-writing words. Math skills will  include number recognition and naming (20-100), math terms such as more than/less than, add/subtract.  Science skills, students will talk about weather, seeds, plants, magnets, butterflies and there will be hands on experiments as well as classifying objects, measurement and weights and patterns.   All of this will happen over the course of the year while having fun and making friends.

Each week our students attend a chapel session to hear Bible stories and to sing songs that will introduce them to God’s love.  The chapel program respects all faiths while being faithful to our Christian belief that Jesus Christ is God’s Son and our Lord and Savior.

Each week our students will also enjoy age appropriate gym classes that emphasize large muscle coordination and eye-hand coordination through the use of music, movement, cooperative games, and other equipment.
